Default SRI or CAI

This is probably a re-post, and I know it's a kind of stupid question, but I can't decide.
I have a CP CAI right now, but I don't like how it's a three-piece, it gets annoying, so I would like to switch to AEM. And I can't decide whether or not I want a CAI or SRI.
Factors:
I live in Michigan
Michigan = snow and often rain = bad for CAI (hydrolock)
And I know I could buy a bypass valve, but that's an extra $45, and they restrict the very little gain that CAI's actually give.
With A SRI, i wouldn't have to worry about hydro-lock, and I hear they provide better throttle response, but all they do is suck in the hot air from the engine.
And I don't want an Icebox, BTW

I'll go with SRI!!....since you have snow and such..just get a short one, its safer!! if you are planning on racing on the weekends then you can get a CAI that allow you to do a short intake when it rain or snow.

if your CP intake is 3 pieces, then why not just use an existing piece and make it a short ram? Or cut it up and make it a short ram? It's just intake

It barely even fits right at the bend on the first piece coming off of the throttle body, and without any support mounts, it would just rest on my fuel line, and with the vibration, the line would start to wear a hole.
I know from experience from my old shitty no-name short-ram.
I'm finally learnin to stay away from no-name brands

I've heard that SRIs make more power in the upper rpm ranges... especially if you raise your rev limiter.

If you say your winter is a bitch, then u answered your own quesiton, get a short ram. It dosen't matter which short ram you get as long is it has a decent filter. You could fabricate your own brackets also, and most of the ebay intakes come with brackets anyway
