I have a Clutchmaster Stage III clutch, and I've had it for awhile now. Whenever I let off the clutch or push the pedal in half way, I get a constant chirping. Is the release bearing going out or is it something else?

 

when you push it in half way, do you hold it there and it rattles. Or, does it just squeek when the pedal hits the half way point?

 

Sqweaks, actually, more like chirping.

 

If it rattles while setting at idle, and is quiet when the clutch is pressed...definitley the throwout bearing

 

Stage III? Is that the clutch disc with the metallic compound? Any metallic/ceramic disc will squeak when you engage it.

My ACT 4 puck goes nuts when I start out in 1st. Like a bunch of dying cats. Heehee.

But if it's not that type of clutch, it's your throwout bearing. Did you have that replaced when you did the clutch?

 

My pedal is always pushed in and the released. I never hold down my clutch.
