Squeeling noise...
A few weeks ago I was taking my FMU off and some gas got around the area of the alternator, so I thought I would flush the area out just to make sure the alternator didnt get messed up. Now when the rpm's are between about 1000-2400 there is this sueeling noise. It isnt that bad around 1000 but as the rpm's climb to 2400 the noise gets really loud then abruptly stops at 2400.
Does anyone know what this could be? I figure a belt is loose or something, but Im not sure. THanks alot.
....the other day I saw this girl cover her ears when I drive by, I thought that was funny

if you took the belt off you could have put it on backwards. Or the gas could have just destroyed the lube in the alternator if it actually got inside of it.
Tighten the alternator belt or better still get a new one and tighten it properly. The squeeling is most likely the belt slipping. at higher sppeds it heats the belt up enough to get grip sorta like race tires they don't stick till they get hot. however in thos case hot is bad. If that does not solve the problem then look at the alternator.
