Default Spray for Power Windows?

A friend has an Accord and the power windows at times drag and make noise on the way up. I understand there is some type of spray you can put on but I just want to double check, is it silicone spray?

Were could we find that? He asked at Autozone and Pepboys about a spray for the window (didn't ask for silicone specifically), but they told him they didn't know what he was talking about. Any brands? TIA

Silicon spray is for rubber seals.
If the seals are bad, replace them.

The window regulator can pick up debris, try cleaning and relube.

Yea my Civic windows would roll up slowly after a while. I got some silicon spray, and sprayed the rubber with it. Rolls up fine now. As I understand, the rubber dries out. Never made sound though...

the shop I used to work at had a clear thin teflon spray. That stuff was the ****. Didnt leave a greasy residue, no smearing, nothing. After you spray it on the liquid would evaporate leaving a nice layer of slippery teflon. I really cant remember who makes it though but it worked great for sticky or squeaky windows. Kinda expensive though about 20 bucks for a 14oz. can.

My neighbor, the same owner of the Accord, took his new Maxima back to the dealer once b/c of a similar problem with the power window and he said all they did is spray something on there and the problem vanished. he was looking for the same thing, but his Accord is older so it could be that there is debris and needs cleaning, plus maybe some adjustment.
