Civic Type R
INTAKE: Duration - 243º @ 1mm, Lift - 11.5 mm
EXHAUST: Duration - 235º @ 1mm, Lift - 10.5 mm

Spoon Sports
INTAKE: Duration - 256 @ 1mm, Lift - 11.53 mm
EXHAUST: Duration - 245 @ 1mm, Lift - 11.13 mm

Sounds like about what you are looking for. They are pretty mild.
For comparison, Skunk2 Stage I's are pretty similar to Spoon cams. I have no idea how much Spoon cams cost (except too much, I bet), but Skunk2 are ~$700.

I've had my share of time with Spoon cams and still run them actually. I only use the Spoon intake cam along with an 'R' exhaust cam, though. The combo is quite nice and makes a pretty good amount of low-end to midrange power over the 'R' cam family. the powerband on these cams die off around 9000rpm in stock form, but with some dyno tuning can probably extract some more juice from 'em. It's a way good street/race/daily driver camshaft setup.

I bet you're wondering why I only use the Spoon intake cam and no the exhaust cam. Reason why is because the Spoon exh. cam is too large in spec, to work with ITR valve springs or even stock v.springs, and will eventually wear flat spots into the lobes. I've seen this happen w/numerous friends who ran Spoon cams. One friend ran both Spoon cams w/ ITR outter springs & Portflow inner springs -- the exhaust cam eventually became flat spotted, probably from spring bind. Another friend ran complete ITR v.springs, same thing happened to his exhaust cam too. Although on both friends cars, the Intake cam was perfectly fine.

I personally run all ITR v.springs and have always used an ITR exh. cam w/ the Spoon intake cam. The combo works out well.

So if you buy both Spoon cams, make sure you buy their valvesprings also, which are designed for their cams.......be prepared to pay tho! Brand new Spoon camsets can range from $900-1200 depending on who you buy them from.

This sounds like the kind of setup I'd like to run. Just gotta find a USED set.
Do you know if there is any way to get rid of the wearing down of the cam lobe aside from Spoon valvetrain? The reason I ask is I'm sure their springs are ridiculously priced like all their other products. Portflow inners maybe?

Great info btw..

Did you just read my comment about this subject at all?
The use of ITR outter & Portflow inner v.springs STILL causes premature ejaculatory flat-spotting. That's why i mentioned using Spoons valvesprings for their own cams.

Just get some Skunk stage 1's or Toda A's and avoid spending to much for little power gains.
