Default speedometer not working

Not just mine but one of my friends have the same prob, we tried new speed sensors from the tranny and it still doesnt work. My car has a 92 LS motor in a 92 hatch and his is a 96 hb with a 00SI motor in it. Both of ours are not working, wiring is hooked right, no fuse blown, tried several other sensors. Anyone else with this prob.

thanks in advance

You need to check continuity of the wire from the tranny plug to the speedo plug.

I had mine disconnected for a while and the plug near the tranny got corroded and when I plugged it back in its still didnt work. check the actual condition of the wire ends them selves.

yea
i had a problem in the wire from the spedo to ecu (on harness side, not VSS side)
get a voltometer and check to make sure its a closed circut.
