speedo sensor?

Aftermarket chips such as "Mugen, Spoon, Skunk," etc usually cut the sensor checking routines (O2, VSS, etc) out of their program, and sense most aftermarket programs (including the real Skunk) are knockoffs of old mugen programs, they are virtually the same.
If you are using a stock Honda ECU or Hondata ecu, you need to have your VSS/Speed sensor hooked up. Vtec won't engage unless the ecu sees that ur going over 6mph. What's wrong with your speedo neway?

im in the process of putting the engine back in the bay and notice that the cable has broken or probably lose inside.im using haltech engin management so wondering if that effects my vtec engagement.i have not started up nor check whats wrong with cable yet.
