Spark Plug tips Pure Black, Please Help
I recently Changed my sparkplugs from the factory ones to those bosche duel connector ones, and when i removed the old factory ones, the tips were charcoal black. What's Wrong. Speedoptions.com had some article on their pro tips about analyzing your spark plugs and said it could be:
Faulty choke - over rich air/fuel mixture
Delayed ignition timing
Bad ignition leads
Plug heat range too cold
Please let me know if it's one of these problems or something else and some info sites or something on how to fixe em. I'm still new to engine concepts so don't ask me spec questions. It's an ex coupe i got used and is still factory. Thanx

If it's a '94 with the original factory plugs, that may explain why they're black. If all the other basic maintanance was neglected also, the ignition system isn't up to performing as it should. How many miles on the odometer?
Since it sounds like the car was neglected, I would suggest you check the air filter, cap, and rotor. Brake fluid and coolant flush wouldn't hurt either.

and can somebody tell me what to do to keep the engine from running too rich?
