Default Spark Plug Gap and Ignition (MSD SCI)

When I installed my SCI kit, I was expecting a better mid and high range. I had better throttle response and off idle was great but about 4000 rpm it just seemed as though the engine was getting choked. The first things that came to mind was the NGK Power Cables. Maybe they were too resistant. Then I thought about the Gap in my plugs.

When I pulled them, they were gapped at .042 or 1.1 mm. I gapped them out to .050 or 1.4 mm. WEll, let me tell you there was a huge difference. It pulled so much harder to redline and now the mid range is huge. Just FYI.

I want to get to the Dyno and test a few gaps. I hope to have that test posted next week.
