well, you need a "electronic air control valve" from ACURA....

part number 36450-pr4-a01 (91 integ LS, only obd0 dohc b series)

here are the part numbers for all parts i THOUGHT you could use, but it turns out you need it from 91 integra.

91 civic SI 36450-pp4-e01
94 civic DX 36450-p08-004 (you used this one, it is WRONG)
00 civic SI 36450-p2j-jo1 (OBD2 B16)
95 del sol vtec 36450-p30-000 (OBD1 B16)
91 integra LS 36450-pr4-a01 (CORRECT PART!)
93 integra GSR 36450-p28-a01 (OBD1 B17)
93 civic EX 36450-p28-a01 (SAME PART NUMBER as above)

RETAIL is about $171.56 each... i can get em for $113.21

or a wire could be loose.... i would check that BEFORE buying.

so the one from my d15b7 is not compatable?? cuz when i swapped em it really didnt change anything...is there a difference between an eacv or iacv...is the one that was on the car when i got it from u from a 91 teg ls...im hoping it is just a loose wire and i can put the old one bck...i havent had time to check the wiring yet..hopefully i can get that done tomorrow.....i put synthetic back in today and at least now it doesnt die when its cold still revs pretty low though...it seems like when i fix the iacv problem it should be worry free..

i guess it is NOT compatable...
there is no difference... HONDA/ACURA dealerships will call it a electronic control valve... other people call it iacv its the same part.
no, the part you got is from the JDM B16.... im sure its the same part number as the 36450-pr4-a01 or maybe have pr3 in the middle..... but it should be the same part.

california speedway is a 1/4 mile correct? or is it 1/8th ???

chances are you wont need to shift to 5th gear.... (i BARELY shifted into 4th in a 1/4 mile)

and at an 1/8th mile track, i was in the middle of third.... you'll be okay.

i'd like to see your runs in my old car.....

i ran a 8.7 @ 83 MPH at barona drag strip and a 13.4 (forget the mph) (around 100 mph) at carlsbad before it shut down.

on street tires i was hitting 9.2-9.0 depending on my launches.

like i said, the time i ran a 13.4 was on slicks and cut doors, barely shifted into 4th....

you wont have a problem at the track.... you'll be in the top of 3rd gear, thats about it.

on street tires i would do anywhere from 3000-4500 depending on the track...

not sure how sticky fontana is, so i couldnt tell you. just try at 4000 and see how the car reacts, then go from there, practice makes perfect.

take some pics of it on the 15s..... (steelies or aftermarket?) if its steelies, DONT LOL

get some pics at the track though, that would be sweet.

not stir **** up but your going to rebuild that transmission yourself but cant troubleshoot the iacv problem? I would rethink that.

so the car is good.
AMPYR_one, welcome to the world of old, swapped, modified Hondas.
be glad that you bought the car off as honest a guy as Joe.
glad to see that the car is working out OK.
guess what, cable b-series trannies suck, at least they do after so many hundreds of thousands of hard-driven miles that most of these engines & trannies have seen. i am rebuilding an s1 right now. i wish you luck, and i'll need some of the same myself.
rebuild kit is $220 from gear-speed.com

my thought process is that any of these trannies is going to need a rebuild at some time, so i might as well do it myself and learn about the stuff at the same time.
i figure there is no replacement for fresh bearings.
kinda like:
would you re-use a head gasket?
