OK I have a prob in my 93 single cam vtec that I cant fugure out. Every other stop light I get to, my car bogs and stalls. When I accelerate it bucks like a bronco on crack(but it does not do this all the time). Also, this is the funny thing, while I am cruising along, every so often when I go to press the gas...theres no responce as if the car is not even on or like something is crimping the fuel line(kind of like back in the days when your girl would be washing her car and you bend the hose so water stops coming out hahaha). The car does not lack power and I just changed the fuel filter. I am thinking timing, fuel pump, or fuel pressure? Are these good places to start looking cuz I aleady checked the whole ignition system! Oh ya and it back fires every now and then also. Please help so I dont have to take it to a shop and pay for a diagnostic. It is not throwing any codes besides my speed sensor being out and my tranny being super messed up(but it does not grind any gears...its just loud like a throw out bearing)

anything could be wrong, if its not too modded the dealer should be able to scan what it is doing as far as sensor inputs, could be as simple as a sensor malfunction, and it could be one of several sensors. might be TPS, MAP or as simple as distributor rotor replacement

 

Check your egine codes:

there should be a how to at http://www.c-speedracing.com under how-tos http://integra.vtec.net might have one

If nothing turns up there, then take it to the shop!
