ok i got a turbo b16 wit a p28 ecu it was chipped before but i guess the chip was screwed cause it didnt throw no codes but the map was like 6 bars across and 4 bars down its a 27SF512 so i burnt a AT29c256 and put it in and got a solid cel it runs good and all but i need too figure out whats checked too throw a solid cel plz help out and let me know whats goin on...... ima post a pic of the misc ive checked too give a idea

Misc. tab looks good to me. I don't think that's it.

It could be a hardware issue - like the chip wasn't at the right end of the burner, or a single leg on the chip could be bent down. Also, it might be a bad chip.

 

If the program you burned is corrupt it will throw a solid CEL. Try it again.

hows it get corrupted?????????

 

Because uploads/downloads fail sometimes. Try burning the chip again. If that doesn't work, a good second step would be to try another 29C chip in case the one you have is bad.

Are you using a Moates.net chip burner?

 

well i have another 29c it does the same but just makes it worse too where its redlinin at say 4k and also have a sst sf and it doesnt throw solid cel but still makes it run like crap the one that throws solid cel runs best of all though redlinin at 8500 and now i need too ajust the tables and itll run great but any ways i think the chipsmight be bad or somethin cause the sst chip was from phearable.net so idk there rep but who knows????????????????????????????????????????????? ???????

How are you burning new chips? Are you reading the data off of the chip you bought, and then burning it to a new 29c chip?

Because the data often corrupts when you read a chip and try to open the data in uber.

 

he says he copied from the chip he got to the new ones...so if the chip he copied from throws solid cel so will every chip he copies it to...

if you want send me your bin and ill send you back a working bin based on the bin you send me...was the bin your trying to use for your turbo tuned with a wideband?

 

well ive tried too open stock gsr and import p28 then set boost tables and crap then burn it wit the burn1 from comp too chip and also like yall said from chip too chip from chip wit out solid too chip that throws solid and like wise and no i havent got my wideband hooked up yet cause as of now was runnin straight pipe but will have it hooked soon and ill send a bin
