I have a 00 ex civic the motor went out, so Im putting a d16z6 to put in the car. I just noticed the intake manifold is a little different. The y8 intake has a vacume port in the center of the flange that blots to the head, and what looks to be a vacume area on the back of the head. So I wanted to know if I put the y8 intake on the z6 head will it cause any problems? The car is completely stock so I just want to make sure its not going to have a check engine if I do this.

Keeping your original mani would be optimal.. easiest, best.

 

What do I do with the vacume line that goes to that fitting?
