Intake manifold!!!!
Ok, so Im wondering if anyone out there has an intake manifold preference, as in teamed up with throttle body, for best low, to midrange, or even high power. im plannin on maybe getting a skunk 2 after doin a mini me head swap on my D15B7. ill try to find a Z6 head, cause as far as i can tell, the y8 has more repercussions than benefits.

The Z6 manifold flows pretty well and you can always have one ported and polished. I'm a B Series person myself, so I'm not too sure on the aftermarket SOHC manifolds. The Skunk2 that a lot of people use on the GSR's are a good choice, maybe the SOHC would see similar benefits?

Hey, I believe your right, but is port and polished better than an actual aftermarket specially desinged intake piece? Im not sure but i have heard there may be a difference in the SOHC and DOHC intake systems. Also, since ive put my cold air intake on, i have seen the check engine soon light come on on the highway at about 65-70, but it only happens once. Any ideas? I wasn t able to hook the line to eh block from the CAI yet, that couldn t be it, could it? thanks

its not really a vacuum line, its a recirculating line.
takes oil vapor that can accumulate in the valvetrain area and sucks it into the engine.
if you have excessive vapor your PCV valve needs to be replaced.

reset the ECU and see if it comes back on, pull the ECU fuse for 1 minuet then put it back in.

if you pull it while the car is running, it will shut off
and yes it says ECU somewhere on the underhood box diagram.
