what does it mean? if anyone has seen in the hybrid forum, i have been having some probs with my swap? i started the car up today and it did the usual shitty idle jump thing and then it just make a horrible noise and died. white smoke started coming from the intake. please help.

 

what car? what motor? what year motor?

how many miles have you put on it since you swapped it?

95 ls motor
not even 100 miles.

 

Is the oil at proper levels?

Usually when you swap a motor that has been sitting somewhere for a very long time, it'll smoke for a little bit then stops after a period of time.

 

well the thing is. brand new oil. etc. motor wont hold a decent idle. jumps from 1000 to 1500. bogs out all the time when im driving normal. and has done this gasping horrible noise smoking intake thing 2 times.

 

Your PCV lines are hooked up correct?

take it back and have the swapper go over it, and make him fix it ..........

maybe something he forgot....or did wrong. The longer you keep it the easier he could say it was your fault.

 

i am. i just wish i knew what it was. sigh. all this for just an LS swap
