Smells like.....fuel!?!
Well guys, I started the car just to pull it into my garage to work on it. Immediately it started smoking, so I pulled it in and turned it off. I noticed that it smelled like fuel. I took the spark plugs out, BLACK (running rich =\) I then took the valve cover off, and it was still smoking a little bit (car has been off for a good 15-20min) It also reeked of fuel...any idea what it could be?
I have a B16 w/LS pistons and a custom turbo kit.
Thanks,
Goldfingiz

Thanks guys...my PVC valve is missing =\
Isn't the PVC system there to release pressure from the motor? Could that be why it's smoking so much? I doubt it, but who knows...

hey goldfingiz... its pcv, not pvc. pvc is a plastic pipe. pcv stands for positive crankcase ventilation. yes it does let gasses out of the engine. sounds like the problem is that it needs a tune up. the plugs are fouled and its not igniting very much fuel. id get new plugs, wires, cap and rotor. and get ngk stuff, its the best. also check your injector seals. look for fuel everywhere around the fuel system.

That can't be the reason why it smokes so much though, can it? Can the PVC system do so much?
