Default Slowest B18C EG

i swapped a B18C in my EG and oh my god it is slow. dont get me wrong it is faster than the D15B which i had in but it is not as fast as B16 Civics.

i was coming home just now and a Honda YRV some **** passed me (I wasnt racing him but still, dude got the ***** to pass me ). I am pissed off.

Here are the specs:-

JDM B18C
Fuel pressure regulator ( no gauge tho)
the motor suppose to have a ITR exhaust cam
it has the S80 LSD gearbox.
Cold Air intake
all of this is in a EG hatch

What can i do with the motor as is to make it up to par with other GSR motors with similar setup ?

What distributor timing is run on these motors?
What plugs should i run ? ( i have NGK 6s in the motor)
i want the motor to pull hard as it is so i can start building form that platform and then just improve.
What must i do to be up there now?

Get it to a dyno with a tuner. Im sure something is wrong. I also had a slow gsr but i was more then sure it was tuning.

You should get a fuel pressure guage, I did that then upped the psi 5-10 higher than it was supposed to be. After that it ran a lot smoother and was noticably faster.

don't feel bad. my gsr eh hatch only traps a measly 90mph in the quarter mile and runs mid 15's. somethings wrong with mine too. it's pretty much a bolt ons motor, no tuning and stock p72. horse power calculator estimates it has like 125 to the wheels.. that's just *** for a GSR motor.

i just got my fuel pressure gauge and installed it. the car was set at aroun 27psi, would you believe that. well i set it not to around 50psi. didnt go out and carry it for a drive yet but i can hear the difference when it starts. no more lumpiness, just a smoth turn over and idle. i'll let you guys know what is going on with it later
