Default Sleeving a 1.8 to 2.0 what head to use?

If I sleeve my block to an 84mm bore so I have 2 liters can I use the B20 head? What head gasket do I need to use. I was wondering if this is possible but remember reading that the gasket wont match up. Thanks!

Why don't you just buy a B20Z and sleeve that?

He wont do that because a B20 block already has 84mm pistons. And yes you can use the B20 head. Dont know why you would sleeve an LS motor to 2.0 liter size though.

Oops just realize what you meant (guy on the post above) But he still wouldnt need to resleeve it, because its already 84mm bore.

Just buy a B20 longblock, it will be cheaper than resleeving and assembling it.

The reason why is because im planning on running high boost and I need to resleeve a block either way. So why not get a cheaper LS block and sleeve that instead of the B20 which is running quite a bit more. Even if I get the B20 ill end up sleeving it.

Is the B20 block bone stock able to handle high boost? I know a guy who ran 18 pounds daily with a top fuel kit. He blew his engine due to a tear in the vacuum lines supposedly.

I was thinking of running a B20 brand new and boosting it up to 14 ..daily. Sound ludicrous?

Why not use a B16A head? Bigger valves, better ports = more power. If you wish to stay non-VTEC then go with the B20 head as it flows better than the B18A and B18B. (Use the B18B camshafts.) You should get the combustion chambers opened up to match the bore of the block.
