Skunk2 throttle body and customer service..???
I had a Skunk2 pro series 68mm throttle body.
I was wondering if anyone has had problems with the butterfly sticking as well as bad customer service from skunk2??
I talked with a rep. at skunk2 directly and they said when they recieve my Throttle body it would take about 3-5days for them to look at it and fix the problem with the TB..and then they would ship it back to me.
They recieved my TB on Jan 29th.----it is now Feb 25th and still haven't recieved it back or even a call from them.
I called them about a week and half ago or so..--they said they are preping for the races--so most likely we wont get to it next week(which is the week that just past) they said they would send it out last week...
so from 3-5 days plus time for shipping--it has now became about a month and still no TB...
My faith in SKUNK2 is falling apart..their products are great, but what good is a product without customer service to back up their products??

thats sad bro, i like skunk 2 as well .... but it's foul how they forgot about you like that . i'm using stock throttlebodies so i haven't to deal with the problem your going though.
yea...if you get a TB..go with edelbrock...it comes with a TPS already..that is the one I bought...got tired of waiting for Skunk2....I called them today...they said..they were waiting for the parts...and I told them..that they said that 2weeks ago.
then they change their mind and siad it will be sent out today...

I'm not sure what the story was that we gave you but you can believe that it was not right! I will look into the issue.
Our race team has nothing to do w/ the repairs or warranties on parts... so the races should not have affected you.
I can tell you that parts were and have not been avail. to repair T/Bodies. We have been waiting for the parts and have been given different ETA's all month.
Normal policy would have been to replace or repair as we see fit. When we cannot repair we will replace... but we have been sold out for some time. We just recently got the parts in and even more recently got T/Bodies in.

I will give you a call tomarrow....I am satisfied with most of skunk2's products..but really dis-satisfied with the TB...but over all...I am most dis-satisfied with skunk2 as a company, because of poor customer service..

yes last week they said they shipped my throttle body and it was assembled already. I called them to(which is a week from when I called them last week) they said they are still waiting for parts.

i bought a the same throttle body from jdm autohaus and it sticks as well how do i go about fixing the problem on the throttle body
beware.
RMA takes over a month----and I still dont have my TB yet-----too many excuses and delays..
but you have to either email or call them, request for an rma# after telling them your issues with the TB..and then send it to them...

did you just say that this is such a big problem that skunk2 is giving everyone cupons
so he has to buy something else befor he get compensated because you dont have a good quality controle department

Just saying. Last thread about a week ago the guy bashed on skunk2 and bitched like a little girl. Skunk2 was really helpful to them,turns out he didnt even buy it from skunk2 and there was possibly nothing wrong with it.
i have skunk2 products,
the butteryfly sticking in attempting to open it goes away in like 500 miles deal with it, and skunk2 customer service isn't the best but you are buying RACE parts, you can not expect OEM smoothness, anyone who has purchased skunk2 products get high performance regards of how "uncomfortable" it is to drive. i had s stick trottle plate on a 9lb flywheel and 6 puck clutch and I managed
by the way the bolt that is on the piece that the accel cable goes to is the adj bolt for the plate, crack it loose ever so slightly move it, just enought to bypass the part that sticks, and re-tighten it, trust is will feel better
