Icon4 Skunk2 Intake manifold question.

Hey all, I'm in the middle of my '95 Del Sol Si D16Z6 build, and I'm just about ready to drop the engine into the car, but I've run into a bit of a snag with the Skunk2 307-05-0260 Pro-Series Intake Manifold I picked up for it.

The stock IAT sensor will not fit in the Skunk2 manifold, and all my research is telling me to cover the install point for it on the manifold and move it to the air intake arm(air intake hose), and I'm having a real hard time believing that this is the only way to install this sensor.

When it comes to fabricating metal parts, I'm really limited and the other solutions I've been able to find that utilize the Skunk2 install point require welding.

I'm wondering if any of you fine folk know of a workaround or an adaptor that Google is failing to pull up.

IAT on the stock D16Z6 mainfold

IAT next to the stock intake manifold install point.

IAT in the Skunk2 Intake Manifold. This is as far as it can be inserted.

IAT sensor next to the Skunk2 manifold install point.

Drill the center hole out slightly larger so that the probe fits fully inside the intake runner.

x2.
but then, use a bit thats a hair larger than the o-ring and drill just a hair deep, to create a step for the o-ring, otherwise you risk cracking the sensor

Just bought a couple drill bits that should work for this. I'll take the manifold off and drill it out. Thanks for the help!
