Default Minimum wiring to run.

Hey guys.
One of my mates is building a stock car using a B16 OBD2 engine.
He has cut out all of the unnecessary wiring to save as much weight as possible.
The problem is he's not getting spark.
He has wired in the distributor and vtec.

Are there any other sensors that he must connect in order to get spark?

Is he getting power to the distributor?

Does the Ecu have power?

Does the Ecu have ground?

What Ecu is being used?

uhhhhh, every sensor on the motor needs to be wired, and then some. I hope you're not saying the only things currently connected are the distributor and vtec...

"He has cut out all of the unnecessary wiring to save as much weight as possible"

he saved 1kg worth of wires.. 50 kg = 0.1 seconds off the quarter mile

the main relay must have power when cranking it powers the ecu and injectors
