OK here's the thing, i bought a set of skunk2 extended studs from inline four and threw it on my car. Yes it looks tight and looks good too, but when I went to the track and threw on my boggarts w/ the boggart lug nuts, I couldnt seem to get it to go in. I thought maybe i just screwed it in off a little bit, so i started screwing the boggart lug nuts out it wouldnt come no more. It was kind of dark so I could see the studs that good. I told my friend to bring me a flashlight and when i saw it was like damn...wtf just happened. These are brand new studs. I had to jack my car up and take the the studs out cause I wasnt sure gonna drive home w/ my boggarts on. And it was starting to **** me off. Also a buddy of mine bought some around the same time i did..and he had the same exact problem w/ his boggart studs. He also tried using a OEM honda lug nut and driving it through the skunk2 studs by itself w/out it mounted to the wheel hub...and sure enough it was starting to strip the threads from the studs....

uhh you sure youre using 12x1.50 lugs?

yes it was the OEM honda lug nuts that i used. but tell me this...If i used my OEM lugs which came w/ my car (which I never had any problems with in the past) shouldn't it fit just perfectly on the skunk2 studs as well? Unless the engineers at skunk2 mis-threaded the studs. We took it over to inlinefour...and they didnt know what to tell us...they tried it out themselves and sure enough...they had the same problems....

what you need to do is find out the exact sixe of thread that the skunk2 studs use
most honda's use a 12mm diameter x 1.25mm thread pitch

sometimes stud companies will use a standard thread and diameter
(they just send you a set of camaro studs)

i never knew skunk2 would make stuffs for camaro and stuff...if they did thats a trip...maybe my new cams are from camaro's too?

actually they dont
i have a honda civic and it uses 12x1.25
i know because it says that on the box
of muteki lugs i have right beside me
(which i know fit because i have all but 4 on my car)

and no skunk2 does not make stuff for camaro's
i just stated that they probably sent you a
set of camaro studs claiming them to be their
own creation when in all reality they can be had
at a local parts store

dont hold me to this but i have heard of companies doing this
and i personally know some people that use camaro studs on their car

what year is that civic?

you might want to check the studs...my friend bought a set of Skunk2 and the stud were bent. they weren't bent to where you would notice right away but you could see if you put another stud that was not defective, the one was not notice bent is bent.

no more skunk2 studs for me...gonna try arp now...if they are good w/ head studs, main studs, rod studs...and has been around this long w/ no bad feedbacks...ill give them a try.

I used to have sk2 studs and they were the right thread pitch however
they would gall onto any lugnut whether it was steel or aluminum.
I even used antisieze and no help. Crap I say, ARP has not let me down
yet in this dept.

Ditto. I had nothing but trouble with Skunk2 studs-switched to ARP's. I have had ARP's on the Civic for quite a while, numerous trips to the track where I swap my street wheels/tires for my Bogarts/slicks. Zero problems.
