Default Skunk2 ECU help

I did a search, and couln't find anything. so..Has anyone ever used the Skunk2 ECU? How well does it work?.I'm going with Skunk2 Stage 1 cams, retainers, valve springs, cam gears, new timing belt, water pump, R-type sway bar.

I already have AEM CAI, DC 4-1, and Greedy exhaust. The guy at the shop told me I should get 10-15 from the just the chip alone. Are these things pretty safe? I don't want to go with Hondata, are VAFC, since I'm going to get the Stage 1 cams. The car has 83,000 miles on it, and runs great now... I want more power, but don't want turbo or nitrous, and don't want to screw with pistons, rings, rods, yet.. This is going to be $2000 + job, so I want make sure my $$$ is well spent. I know the stage 2 cams are better, but I don't want screw with all that tuning.Sorry for the long post, but I wanted to make sure I'm clear and to the point. And I guess I need that damn harness from II to I..

Thanks

haha 10-15hp from a Skunk ecu?! hahaa...yeah right. You can make up to about 8hp (dyno proven) with the Skunk or Mugen program for the P28 ecu....same program. Needs to be fined tuned with a VTEC/FUEL controller.

If you're interested I have the Mugen program. Check out my signature link below or hit me up privately if you're interested in an ECU upgrade. $160 shipped. I also sell jumper harnesses too. I'm actually in the middle of revamping the ECU Upgrade section of Jdmhondaparts.com....so Jumper info isn't too readily available just yet. It will be soon tho...

so I need that nonsense conversion harness for the Mugen ECU. Is the Mugen better then the Skunk2? Differences? How much is the harness. Do I need to send you my ECU for the Mugen program..I read your FAQ, and I didn't see anything on that.
Thanks

yes you'll need a jumper harness in order to run an OBD1 ecu in your OBD2 equipped car.

Mugen/Skunk P28 program is the same exact program....the names just get tossed around on the net making people think they're different programs.

Hit me up privately if you'd like additional info on reprogramming and the ecu jumper...
thanks..
