When you are just getting the threaded sleeve what do you have to do to get them on a strut? Is there any cutting and welding involved or can you slide them on?

 

You have to use rubber O-rings to "shim" in between the threaded sleeve and the strut body. The sleeve is wider in diameter than the strut, so you need those O-rings to keep the sleeves straight. But other than that, you just slide the sleeve over the strut.

 

where would i get the o-rings

 

If they didn't send them with the sleeves, I would call them to see if you can get some. When you buy the set, they send a bunch of different sized ones to work with a wide range of struts. If not, you could probably find some at a Home Depot or hardware store. Only problem then, would be finding the right size.
