will the skunk 2 stage 2 cams set a check engine lignt in a obd 2 civic . wanting to drop a set but i still want to pass emissions.

 

they shouldn't make the engine throw a CEL unless you didn't install them correctly. if you want to pass smog, then get stage 1's. stage 2 probably won't pass emissions.

 

As obd2gsr said you shouldn't get a code unless something is installed incorrectly.... What code are you getting?? Also it is possible to get SK2 stage 2 to pass emmisions... It took a bit of work on my friend's CRVTEC Teg running 84.50mm 12.5:1 JE slugs a Portflow head, SK2 s2 cams, and Hondata.... It took 15 passes and a lot of leaning out with the Hondata but he managed to do it... The main reason we had trouble with his car was because of the compression.... In order to not detonate on 92 it normally just needs to be run a bit rich but it was okay just to trim it out for a day...
