Break in process

My friend and I are having an argument on break in miles. How many did you guys do with your cars?

on my rebuilt block i tried for 1k miles. i got to about 250-300 and couldn't handle holding back anymore

runs well and no probs as of yet...but only have mayeb 5k miles so far

From what I hear for daily and track use people tell me 3000 miles. For all out track use do a couple of runs and call it a day.
