Default Simple injector question....not too tech...

on the injector portion where the sprayer is, there is a plastic jacket just under the rubber seal. It seems that my LS injectors where tampered with and one of them was missing that piece. What it looks like as far as function is for; A. Controlling the "faning" of the spray. B. Some sort of heat jacket.

My questions is it a real issue that its not on?

Applying my logic its not a big deal. Ghetto, but not a big deal.

I'm only asking because I'm debating if i should run the newer B20 injectors that came with my new B20 swap. The only problem i would have to modify the LS harness for the plugs to fit the injectors.

I am leaning to change to the B20 injectors since they have an average of 15k and the LS ones have 140k...

thanks
Gilbert

Modifying the LS harness for the B20 injectors is the way I'd go, just make sure you solder all your connections and you should be good to go.
