The simple 5 lug conversion.
I don't know much about why it takes so much for a 5 lug conversion. I underatand that the rear trailing arms and hubs must be from a type-r, therfore rear susp would have to chang along with other essentials. But is all that really necessary? I was looking at oem parts related to the wheel/hub, and I noticed that you can purchase wheel bearing part that includes the lug studs. All you would have to do is take the center nut off, after removing rotors of course, and swap the wheel bearing. It occured to me some time after, that I could simply buy one for a type-r. I don't know anything else about the matter, so I was wondering why cant a 5 lug conversion be done by simply changing the bearing assy to type-r? I only was interested in the idea so as to have a better choice in performance wheels.
the front hubs can be switched out though, ive seen that done.
but like unusual said, idk about the rear.
too bad a 5lug conversion is $1k. if it was cheaper i would prolly buy it too
