Default should i try it or not?

what up all?I just recently recieved my p28 ecu for my d16z6 swap and am not sure if i should plug it right in or what i have to do?I've been using the dx ecu for a while just so i can get from point a to b ,but i'm not sure if in the swap the guy ran the ex engine harness too. What should i do?should I just plug it in and see what happens or what?I haven't been able to run vtec because i was lacking this ecu ,therefore the vtec's never been engaged?

Plugging it in won't ruin anything.

What is the question? If its your original ECU and it got chipped, the guy should have put the stock program on it. Just plug her in and go. If it ***** up your car performance or CEL wise, then he did something wrong. =\
