they are shitty in my opinion, most (all) shift to quickly and you can hear the grinding your syncros when you are shifting into gear.

love mine. had it for a year almost.
skunk2 from jdmhondaparts.com
very nice piece, great feel, makes shifts precise, quicks, and snappier.
I recommend it as much as Koni yellows or AO32R tires. really feels great and it made the car even more enjoyable to drive... and thats on my GSR, imagine the improvement on a stock civic! OMG!

I've heard of people not being able to get theirs in certain gears, like they are hitting something or possibly shifting faster then the syncro's allow, is that common or just a poor install, also how necassary are bushings with the short shifter?

Properly installed, a short shift kit, should shift just as smooth as the stock shifter. The shift effort will be greater because there is less leverage. Performance improvement is slight to almost negligable since the honda shift lever is short to begin with.

Agreed! Try driving an F-150 truck with a long throw, then you'll appreciate what you have more. I wouldn't tinker with things that give minimal performance. Let your driving do the talking; not your ****.

Very common. Those people are the ones that have their synchros replaced every 10,000 miles.

BTW, I thank them everytime they order more synchros.

Short shifters do not cause problems but the knuckle dragging, submoronic neanderthal who is banging gears the same way he banged the toothpick in his stained Super Friends action figure drawers after discovering that he could make it spit ARE the source of all shifter/synchro failure related problems.

With that being gurgitated.. Nothing compares to the NORMAL C's shifter! I have been using the same C's shifter for 5 years w/o any problems!
