I have a D16A6 engine from an si, with tranny on it, and a blown out clutch, I want to pull that from my 1990 hf crx, and put it in my 1989 dx crx, before i try this I want to get any known issues into the open, like:

do i need to use the dx tranny,
will it fit the D16A6,
are the clutch sizes different,
any known wiring issues,
dont care about smog at the moment,

I am asking in desperation and with short time, so any help is useful,

I am new here, and to the world of honda, I have three crx's, and I hope enough parts to make a good one so I can go back to work, to earn money, to work on my cars, to go back to work, to earn money, to work on my cars . . . . . and so on.

I am pretty sure about this. I would wait for more replies as i am not 100% sure.

 

well as it turns out, im clutching the racer, and having the bottom end rebuilt on the dx, seems like the smarter thing to do.
