Questioin for those who have done motor swaps wid JDM engines......

I have a B16b in my 98 hatch with a Si wire harness and running a SI ECU for now.(since my CTR on is fried) My car was running average while i had a automatic wire harness in there, but since i switched it wid the SI harness, i have no Vtec and my Vss (speed single) does not read. Suggestions anyone ???? Thankz

Yea, my RPMs read but i have no signal to my speed odometer. My fuel cuts off at 6.5 RPMs.

 

isn't that the normal cutoff for when you have a CEL?

 

first, dont swear.

second, make sure your VSS is working - otherwise no VTEC.

third, did you have VTEC with the auto Si harness or what?

When i had my CTR ecu i had CEL aswell, but it's fuel cut off would be after 8.5 rpms. I'm now running a Si computer just to get around. after 6.5 rpms, is that standard fuel cut off for a Si ecu with CEL?

 

My bad about the swear.....Well I've checked my vss it's plugged in, i had that 96 civic automatic wireharness in my car for about a year and it was still pussing out vtec. Then recently my vtec would perform magic tricks. Disappear then re-appear same for the VSS. Thanks
