Shifting problems
I have a 1991 Accord that I just put a motor from a '97 Accord Lx in. I kept the auto tranny, since I blew up the original 220,000 mile motor that was in it, and the tranny was fine so I kept it in. Now, when the car is up to normal driving temp, actually after it has been to normal temp for about 5 min (it wont do it when it;s cold, or when I shut the car off and start it back up, but it will eventually) the tranny will not up shift untill it reaches 3200 rpms, and when it does up, it will not downshift unless I come to a complete stop. Even at complete stops, I let go of the brake to accel., and the car will like bang back into gear and then it all happens again. I adjusted the kick-down cable already, and no help. Tranny fluid is full. I'm stumped. I would think if it was the tranny it would do it all the time, some times it wont do it at all, like if i go on the highway and don't come to many stops. Thanks in advance.
