Default Shifting problem

I am having problems with my crx, it is ls turbo with a 92 cable tranny, It recentle started becoming very hard to get in gear. I bought a new cable, adjust it, and it still is very hard to get into gear. If I adjust the cable all the way it goes in easy sometimes, but feels like its slipping because it isnt fully disengaging. I am not sure if my t-o bearing is bad or what. I hear a wierd noise when taking off and when reversing. if anyone can help, thanks.

If the clutch were broken, would I still be able to drive around. Its like once its in gear its fine, its just a real pain getting it into gear while I am driving. From a stand still it goes into all gears with ease.
