Clutch problem
I hope you guys can help. I ask it here because I know I'll get an answer.
My Problem:
It is VERY VERY hard for me to get into gear. It seems fine when the car is moving, but if I come to a stop then it wont let me in. It goes into gear VERY loudly. It's not a normal click. It's a large CLUNK.
A weird thing is that if I have it in 1st gear and I press the clutch ALL THE WAY DOWN, then it still moves.
I don't even try to go into REVERSE because it grinds like hell. NO other gears grind when driving tho...I put my car in the garage now. No more playing until this thing gets fixed.
I'm thinking that it's the throw out bearing. Is it? Or is it something else? Help me because I'm depressed now.

Re: Clutch problem (maztur)
is the clutch hydraulic or cable? it sounds like the clutch isnt releasing all of the way when the pedal is pressed, i dont know much about hydraulic clutches on how to adjust them but if it is cable you should try tightening the cable a bit.

Is this a new clutch or old clutch? Instead of pushing the pedal all the way to the floor, try pushing it an inch from the floor or half inch from the floor and see if it helps.

Re: Clutch problem (Sonnyballs)
Hydro tranny
ACT Xtreme PP+fullface clutch, CM flywheel
No matter how I push in, it doesn't let me get into gear. It was fine for like 5 days and all of a sudden, the clutch starts doing this. It seems as if the clutch is not disengaging correctly.

Re: Clutch problem (maztur)
You need to take the tranny of and check if the disc is warped or the flywheel is warped. A certain amount of warpage and you can not get the clutch to release. That's why your car is creeping forward.

Re: Clutch problem (Rocket)
Your 1st gear syncro could be damaged. I've seen syncros where the little stopper tabs get beat and they don't properly locate the syncro and you can't get it into gear if if the engine is off.
