Default shifting noise HELP

Ok for the last couple of weeks when I shift into gear and stay in high rpms and car makes a loud almost grinding noise. And it also makes the same sound when I downshift but almost louder. My cars has 65,000 miles on it right now and Im just not sure what It could be. Ive checked all the heat shields to make sure it wasnt any of them and I dont think it is. You guys have any clue what it might be? Could it be my transmission or a bearing or something. Thanks for any help

What gear?

Only high speeds? Does it speed up with the rpms or vehicle speed?

If it goes with the RPM's and not the speed of the car then it is most likely your main imput shaft bearings.

That means Tranny rebuild.

Fork out the dough to rebuild the beast yourself. The dough goes to the tools then you can help locals rebuild theirs at a small fee and make your money back.
