Default Shifter rattle... not hitting heat shield!!

My short shifter (B&M) has rattled for some time now at around 26-2800rpm. The linkage and shifter itself is not hitting the heat shield or exhaust itself. Do they need to be lubed, do any other shifters have this problem? I also have energy suspension shifter bushings. I love the height and throw but the vibration sound is a pain in the ***. Any idea what this could be, its getting to be annoying big time.

it's the shifter itself. I had one before, use to annoy the hell out of me. here's the solution: get use to it or do what I did and get a skunk2 and never have to deal with that pos shifter.
