when i am driving my 2001 itr in the rain, only when it is really hard it happens, water kicks up form underneath the car and some how cause my shifter to get real stiff and it starts to vibrate, but as soon as the rain lets up or not a lot of rain on the road it STOPS!! any ideas of what it could be? i also forgot to mention i had a b&m short shifter kit installed a while back but never ahd this problem before

I have the same shifter and I get the exact same problem. I was thinking it was because I tore part of the dust boot, but I guess that's not the case. I'm still stumped. Maybe it's normal.

 

yo, did u change your bushings? cant remember if they did on mine, but that might be the problem. this is too dam wierd, well if u hear anyhtign let me know and i will do the same
