shifter loose in gear

shifter loose in gear
i just got a 92 integra ls and the shifter moves right and left in gear, would this be fixed by replacing bushings, or should i maybe just buy a good short shifter. if you have any other ideas that would be great thanks. btw i dont get the car until tues. so cant do much till then
