Default shift *****

ive never bought an aftermarket shiftknob before and i was wondering if it actually improves ur driving experience or if it is just for the looks. and if it does improve anything (other than the odds of someone saying oh wow nice car ) then what should i look for in a shiftknob? i have a 1990 acura integra gs.
thanks in advance

i received a skunk2 shift **** for v-day from my girlfriend. One of the best gifts i received. I think it does change driving and makes the feel of shifting better.

wouldnt that be a bit soon for me to get a short shifter? i just started driving my car this week. ive gotten the feel for it and im quite good at it but a short shifter would be much harder for me until i further perfect driving a stick wouldnt it?

Skunk2 **** + Energy/Prothane Shifter Bushings

Short shifter not required.

ok so what exactly are shifter bushings then, how much will it cost to replace them (for a 1990 acura integra gs), and how hard are they to install?

thanks in advance

btw does anyone have a skunk2 shift ****? id like to hear from some people that actually own one and tell me wether or not they are worth putting out the $50 for.

i just bought a skunk2 weighted shift ****, over the stock one it is a very different feel, like it goes into gear by itself or with little effort. but i also have a short shifter, and they arent that hard to install. I have an ebay short shifter that i got for 15 bucks. You can feel a difference and it hasnt broken on me yet. http://z14.invisionfree.com/Im...#last
thats a little write up i did on how to put in a short shifter, hope it helps.

alright, im convinced that i should buy a skunk2 shiftknob.

its much cheaper (off ebay anyway) to buy one as a package with a dual bend shortshifter though. im sure i could figure out how to install it, if not i can just call my older brother who has been a mechanic all his life.
