to shave or not to shave the flywheel?
i wouldn't shave it at all unless you want to take the chances of it exploding and possibly killing you!!!

Keep in mind your not going to shave off 15 pounds, i'd say no more than 5 pounds
that wasnt a stupid comment. and personally, i would recommend just resurfacing it. im not a fan of light flywheels, but a fan of rotational inertia. i dont like my car to nearly die every time i push in the clutch. and for the haters, ive had plenty of flywheels- from ultra-light to lightened to stock. id rather have the strength and inertia of a factory resurfaced flywheel anyday.
lighter is better, but the problem with the h22a flywheel is that the timing marks
are part of the flywheel which make lightening it a little bit difficult.
You can get aluminum ones but they lack the timing marks last time i checked.
maybe its worth a look though. as far as lightening the stock one, i wouldnt.

is the ITR flywheel just an B-serise flywheel (18lbs) lightend at the factory (to 15lbs)??? because i want to lighten an ITR to 12lbs...
