Shaking under acceleration .. help!
I have a 90 DA, and recently this problem began .. it's basically a really noticeable shaking under moderate-heavy acceleration, and I need to get this fixed, very annoying. I am thinking it might be my rear motor mount (never been replaced), but I haven't been able to get under the car and inspect it. I'm in the middle of building a motor (LS) so if it is the mount, I'll replace it when the new motor goes in. Any other ideas? I know it's not my axles .. Thanks.
i have a 90 DA with B20VTEC and it shakes a bit too...
i have watched it on the dyno and it seems to vibrate lengthwise across the engine bay, not from front to back...
it seemed like the timing belt side engine mount was too sloppy...
i was thinking of trying a newer b18c style mount...
but i dont really worry too much about it... just gotten used to it (has always been there)

I also have a 92 da with a b20z/vtec set up, with new Place racing motor mounts and it vibrates on acceleration between 3-4.5k rmp. I dont thinks its the mounts cuz it did that also when I had the old stock mounts in them. Something with the engine imbalance or something.(talking out of my ***
).
).
Are your axles clicking? If they are than thats your problem 99.9% of the time. I had it, the outer boot would bind when moved by hand, made the axle click when turning and made the motor vibrate when I was accelerating.

I'm pretty convinced it's my mounts (mainly the rear mount), just wanted to see if anyone had any unusual causes besides axles or clutch issues I could check for. Thanks guys!
