Default Set rings on axle and intermediate shaft...

I am in the middle of my clutch install. The set rings on the axle and intermediate shaft are sort of oval shaped, not perfectly round. Is this normal after they have been pulled from the tranny? I would just replace them but I need to get the tranny back in this weekend and no one has them in stock.

Should be fine. Those are just there to keep the axle/intermediate shaft in place. As long as you can still fit them into the tranny, they're fine.

You should be ok... just take some pliers and try to compress the retainer ring into normal circular shape.. You may have to hit the axle a little harder to get the axle to completely seat properly...but you should be ok...
