Default Serial to USB wiremap (Phearable P28)

Sup guys... breifly searched the recent threads with no luck

What I'm looking for is the wire map for taking the 4 pin serial connection that's in the P28, and converting it to USB.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I'm not 100% on the p28, but I will say this, You can not just connect a serial connection to USB. they are different communications standards and they run at different voltages. you need a usb-> serial converter. Not knowing if the p28 is rs-232 or TTL levels, I can't point you to the right one

What conversion box are you talking about? Just get one of those nokia phone cables off of ebay. They use a chip to convert TTL to USB in one package. PS to the guy who posted before why in the hell would they convert the TTL signals from the micro to RS-232 in the ECU? Shouldn't have been that hard to figure out. Just a little common sense that it's TTL.

instead of a converter box, you can use a phone cable from nokia, radio shack or ebay knockoffs, they work just as good and lots cheaper.
Radio Shack part number 170-0787, or nokia 3200,5100 and 6100 series; or their perpective ebay counterparts
