ive got a 92 civic VX that is already wired for vtec. I'm new to the whole engine swap thing and i bought a B16a2 block and a 1994 GSR head and i really didnt know what i was getting into. The block has none of the sensors in it and neither does the head. i just wanted to know if the car would run with out these i know the check engine light would be on but i could deal with that. also what sensors are in these blocks and heads.

 

Yes you need the sensor,just use most of your sensors from your old motor ,if you run it with out the sensors you will have a mess,really if you have to ask that ? you shouldn't be working on your car.
