Does it look exactly like the knock sensor, but sits lower near the oil filter and has a green plug? Other h-t people have told me that it was a second coolant temp sensor, but when I removed mine, there was oil in the hole.

I had trouble figuring this one out a while back -- was installing an Endyn breather kit, and they didn't know what it was for either, just that it had to come out...
That sensor trips the AC fan when the car is off and the oil temp reaches a certain point. It will run for 15 mins. or so. It's only found on the 2nd generation Integras; later engines have a plug there, just like on the other (passenger) side of the block.
The info is in the Helm manual, buried somewhere in the electrical section if you care to look it up.
FYI, the part # on that sensor is the same as the coolant fan switch on later b-series engines -- the one on the thermostat housing, if I recall.
