You basically weld all the seams you see, and the welds should be 3 to 4 inches apart. Spreading the welds will prevent chassis warpage-from the welding. Use common sense, such don't waste time on wheel wells-best to put on a reinforce layer. Never done, but I here it does wonders for the structure.

if im not mistaken, seam welding uses a seam welder, where they press weld? it.
and again if im not mistaken, dont you have to drill through the first layer?

3 inches seems alittle too far away.... ive heard something like 3-5cm

I'm not sure about the welder. Drilling would probably be a good idea, but I never read that it was necessary. 3-5cm is the proper for racing applications and experienced frame welders. I gave a larger margin of error. Warpage should be number consideration over rigidity. Though, either spacing will give a stronger frame one will be harder for the inexperienced in this situation. But like he said drilling will also help with the warpage issue.

Make sure the sanctioning body you're going to run for allows seam welding in your class--there are some that don't.

As to where you seem weld, I've been told you want to reinforce the strut towers and in between the strut towers.
