i had my block bored out 1mm over at the shop last year i i left it in my garage. i took it out today and i see horizontal hairline scratches. My finger nail gets stuck in them when i go over them. I dont want to bore it out any more. Is this fine or should i just toss it and get another one?

no pictures and i dont have money to sleeve the block.if u run ur finger nails over the scratch it will dig in and get stuck.

 

You didn't say where the scratches are, but I am going to assume in the bore?

The scratches are probably too deep, but why not just get it re-honed?
