is it safe to pull the subframe yourself when it's bent?
long story short i kissed the curb and it pushed my lower subframe in so that my radiator cracked. so i bought a new radiator and am having trouble putting it in because of the reduced clearance. i only need about an inch more clearance so that i can seat the radiator correctly and close the hood. then i can drive it to the shop and get an accurate report of what else could be bent.
i tried leveraging some space with a hammer but the subframe is too stiff. i have heavy duty straps i could tie to the bottom of the subframe and i was thinking of pulling on it just a bit with my truck.. is this dangerous? thanks!
