S2000 head on a k20 block?
I found this on the net......Prototype racing is making a kit to mount into a Lotus Elise. Its running a F20C long block and a k20a 6spd trans and it looks like it mounts up with no modification.......but its just a picture though. Would be nice though....that in a EG or EK.....

i believe thats a f20c longblock with a k-series tranny.

to me, the question is why? k20 heads flow tons, they both have vtec, but the k20 also has variable timing on the intake cam ... something i thought the f20 was without? is there something cooler about the f20 that couldn't be replicated, or surpasses easily on the k20?
well i think that the s2000 si one of hondas best car stock. it doesnt really needed much mods but maybe a s/c and just looks. but the k20 a lot of company is making a lotof products for it. also i heard that the k20 series has a lot of models. like the EP version with the E-Vtec and the RSX-S is the real vtec VTC.

VTC cam gear is good for making power which is why the f20c doesn't show much reaction on NA mod like k-series.
Last time I checked F-series s2k spun backards.

yes, from everything iv read and heard all honda engines spin counter-clock wise except for the k-series. im fairly sure the F20 from the s-2000 rotates counter-clock wise.
what about a f-series w/ a besries tranny? that sounds very possible, you just wouldnt have 6-speed. but a much bigger aftermarket. and who needs 6-gears when drag racing?

No new b series trannies are being made, K series would be much smarter, plus who drag races

Alright I understand where you guys are coming from, thanks fIm pretty shure if you spin a cam backwards, your valvetrain is going to be in a world of hurt, very fast.... ramp angles come to mind....

if the head spins the other way,it would make the engine change its rotation,as long as u timed it right . and change the starters rotation.

The F20 head will not fit on a K20 block or vice-versa. But a K-series tranny will bolt up to an F20. Theres something about needing a custom clutch though. Give me some time and I will dig out the article.

wrong...it needs a custom bell housing to bolt up (k-tranny & f20 block) prototyperacing developed a one-off bell housing...I think the cost was like $10,000

no more than you could make with a k20a....please let this thread die...there is no reason to do this at all...stock k20a head can support 300+ whp
s2k head spins in the opposite direction...there are more mods for k20a than f20c/f22c so you can make more power with a K anyways
